Saturday, October 17th, 2026 brings the return of the CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon and - for a 25th year - the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation will partner with CKNX and 8 other area hospital foundations to raise funds in support of local health care.
This year, the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation has set yet another ambitious goal - to raise $150,000 towards critical Infrastructure Upgrades for Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest. These upgrades include the replacement of the heliport lighting system, excavation and repair of the receiving area/parking lot, and a staircase hoist for the "penthouse" - where the hospital's air handling units are located. While not medical in nature, these 'nuts and bolts' items are absolutely essential in ensuring that the facility is maintained to the highest possible standard, and that both patients and staff are safe and comfortable, allowing the team at Louise Marshall Hospital to do what they do best - provide excellence in patient care, right here in Mount Forest.
We are so pleased to share that, for a third year, the LMH Foundation will be hosting our Community Breakfast by Donation in support of our Radiothon campaign. On October 17th, from 8am-11am at the Mount Forest & District Sports Complex, please join us for a delicious breakfast. Complete with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns and coffee or juice, there's a little something for everyone! Breakfast is by donation only (no advanced ticket sales) and will be served from 8am-11am - or until we sell out! Please note, we will gladly be accepting donations towards our Radiothon campaign onsite during the breakfast.
Also for a third year, we are excited to welcome back Jess Hammett Photography, who will be offering up Fall Photo Sessions in October leading up to Radiothon Day, and donating half of the proceeds to the LMH Foundation hospital in support of Radiothon. Stay tuned for more details - coming soon!
