Adventures in Wonderland - Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation’s 4th Annual Gala

Media Release: July 18, 2024

Mount Forest, ON (July 18, 2024) – On June 15, 2024, the Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation (LMH Foundation) hosted their 4th annual Gala, “Adventures in Wonderland”, in support of Louise Marshall Hospital.
The LMH Foundation set a fundraising goal of $112,500 for the Gala, with funds raised directed towards ECG fleet updates for Louise Marshall Hospital, including the purchase of a replacement ECG cart and software platform upgrades. After a very successful event, this goal was not only met, but exceeded, with funds raised at the Gala totaling more than $145,000. The additional funds will be directed toward other essential capital equipment and projects the LMH Foundation has committed to funding for Louise Marshall Hospital in 2024-2025.
Held at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex, the LMH Foundation was joined by more than 450 guests who were greeted with a champagne welcome before entering into a magically transformed venue – complete with playing card guards, toadstools, butler frogs, flamingo croquet, and even a rabbit hole.
Guests were able to peruse the more than 50 silent auction offerings available, which featured local outings and experiences, and included many other items generously donated by businesses and residents of both Wellington North and beyond. A live auction followed a delicious gourmet dinner, and the night continued with live entertainment & dancing, fundraising games and prizes, and also included a spectacular Mad Hatter’s Tea Party photo booth.
The Foundation would like extend a warm thank you to the generous sponsors who supported the event, to the guests in attendance at the Gala, as well as to the dedicated Gala committee and volunteers who helped make the event possible.
Amy Van Huss, Executive Director for the LMH Foundation, stated, “We are so grateful for how the community came together to support both the Gala and Louise Marshall Hospital. From our sponsors, to the businesses who donated to our auctions, the team of volunteers who helped build and construct the fantastic decor, our set-up and clean-up crew, the guests that purchased tickets, and many more, we couldn’t have accomplished what we did without them all. We are so thankful to everyone who helped us achieve our goal this year.”
Plans are already underway for the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation’s 5th annual Gala in June 2025. Those looking for more information or to support the Foundation can visit www.louisemarshallfoundation.ca.
